Film the Blanks

I have a thing for good movie posters.  I have an even bigger thing for the abstract.  A very clever gentleman named John Taylor started a site, Film the Blanks, where he started an experiment to “abstract and/or reduce film posters.”  The fun part of it all is the race to solve it – and Taylor gives us a quote from the movie as a hint at the top of each post.  The genres from which he draws his posters vary quite a bit, from Broadway musicals to 60s Sci-Fi to 30s Comedy, but the thing they all have in common is having a fantastic poster.

John Taylor doesn’t leave his readers completely unrewarded, either: the first five people to post the correct answer receive one point each; at every 100th post, the reader with the highest score receives a prize of an exclusive movie poster (because he specially screen prints his works and sells them, you know.)
